What is Salt + Light Plus?
Salt + Light Plus is Salt + Light Media’s new low-cost, high-value, subscription-only streaming service. Our live stream broadcast as well as most of our programs and documentaries — not to mention live Church events, daily Masses and more — are available on this new, super-convenient app and directly by subscription on our website.
How do I subscribe?
Visit slmedia.org/slplus to register now! When you register, you will be prompted to select a subscription package.
If you are using Roku or Amazon Fire, download the free Salt + Light Plus app, then register and select your subscription package.
Whether you register at slmedia.org or through Roku or Amazon Fire, your account will work for all three platforms.

The cost of a subscription to Salt + Light Plus is $3.99 per month – or $39.99 annually. Each subscription also comes with a 14-day free trial.

On our website, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. If you subscribe through Roku or Amazon Fire, please consult Roku or Amazon for the payment options available to you.
Do I need to get Roku/Amazon Fire?
No. Once you register and subscribe, you will be able to watch Salt + Light Plus directly from our website. However, a Roku or Amazon Fire device will make it easier for you to watch Salt + Light Plus on your TV.
What devices and platforms are supported by Salt + Light Plus?
You can stream Salt + Light Plus on any Roku or Amazon Fire device or from any desktop or mobile device.
How much content is available on Salt + Light Plus?
Salt + Light Plus has hundreds of shows available for you to stream on demand, including documentaries, Masses, and Vatican events. You will also have access to the live stream of our television broadcast.
Can I access your free content without creating an account?
No. In order to sample our free content, you will have to create an account with Salt + Light Media. But don’t worry! It’s free to register. You will only be charged if you decide to subscribe to one of the packages.

How do I sign in?
Go to slmedia.org/slplus and click on “Sign In” in the upper right corner of the page. You will be prompted for your ID and password.

How do I change the language to French/Chinese?

I downloaded the app through Roku/Amazon Fire. Can I also watch on the website?
Yes. You can log in to the Salt + Light Plus website with the same account you created on Roku or Amazon Fire.
I signed up through the website. Can I watch Salt + Light Plus on my TV?
Yes. You can log in to the Salt + Light Plus app on Roku and Amazon Fire with the same account you created through the website. Alternatively, if you have a smart TV, you can access our website directly through the internet app provided on your TV.
What browsers can I use to watch Salt + Light Plus through the Salt + Light Media website?
We recommend using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge to get the best experience. Safari and Firefox are also compatible with Salt + Light Plus.
Do I need to adjust any settings on my browser so I can watch Salt + Light Plus?
Please make sure cookies from slmedia.org are enabled. We recommend adding slmedia.org to the cookie settings for your browser.
Can I download shows to watch later?
No. It is not possible at this time to download shows and documentaries from Salt + Light Plus.
Can I create my own playlist?
No, you will not be able to create your own playlist. However, Salt + Light Plus does include curated playlists, some of which will change throughout the year to coincide with major Church or world events and liturgical seasons.
How do I turn the closed captions on/off?
You can manage closed captions individually for each video.
If you are watching Salt + Light Plus on Amazon Fire, once you press play, you can access closed captions by pressing the down arrow on your remote control. This will allow you to scroll to highlight the CC button.

How many devices can be linked to one Salt + Light Plus account?
There is no limit to how many devices can be linked to one Salt + Light Plus account. However, only three devices can stream from one account at the same time.

Yes, you can watch Salt + Light Plus from up to three devices logged into one account at the same time.
Managing my account
How do I change my password?
In order to change your password on our website, log in to your account and click on the avatar located in the bottom right corner. Select “Change password”. (If you sign in via your Facebook or Google account, you will not have a separate password for Salt + Light Plus.)

Troubleshooting

I searched for “Salt + Light Plus” on Roku, but I got no results.
Salt + Light Plus appears on Roku under the name “Salt and Light Media”. To add Salt + Light Plus to your Roku device through the Roku website, click here.
I installed the app on Roku/Amazon Fire, but all the videos are locked, even the ones that say “Free To Watch”.
Before you can watch any of the videos, you must register for an account. You can do this through our website at slmedia.org/slplus or through Roku/Amazon Fire by entering the app and accessing “Settings” in the menu bar. Click on “My Account” and follow the prompts.

I only want to watch the free content, but when I try to create an account on Roku/Amazon Fire, it tries to make me choose a subscription package.
We encourage all of our viewers to purchase a subscription along with their registration in order to receive the best possible experience that Salt + Light Plus has to offer. Every subscription comes with a 14-day free trial. However, if you would like to create a free account through Roku/Amazon Fire, simply follow the prompts to create an account until you get to the screen asking you to choose a subscription package. If you return to your settings at that point, your registration will have been successful but you will not be charged for a subscription, and you will now be able to watch a limited number of videos, including Masses, prayers, Vatican events, and promotional videos.
