E1 | Congregation of St. Joseph

This religious community of vowed Catholic women and non-vowed associates sponsor over 30 ministries, such as Catholic high schools and pastoral assistance. Through prayer, direct service, and ministry of the “dear neighbour”, they serve to unite everyone with God, one another, and all creation.

E2 | Society of the Sacred Heart, Uganda/Kenya Province

Founded in 1800 in France by St. Madeleine Sophie Barat is a community of strong and dedicated women, truly living out their motto, “One Heart and one mind in the Heart of Jesus”. Their charism, “Glorifying the Heart of Jesus” impels us to respond to God’s call to “discover and reveal His love”.

E3 | The Congregation of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

This pontifical institute of women religious currently ministers in south Louisiana, Illinois, the Philippines, and Timor-Leste. As members of the Order of Carmel, their special charism is a life of prayer and service in union with Jesus, in whom continual prayer and action coexist harmoniously.

E4 | Congregation of Sisters of Our Lady of Kilimanjaro

In 1931, Bishop Henry A. Gogarty, CSSp, founded a congregation in Kilimanjaro whose charism focuses on evangelization. Together with Mother Felicitas Tirpitz, CPS, they began with a small group of twelve candidates. Today, this congregation now has 800 professed nuns.

E5 | Sisters of the Holy Family

In 1842, a free woman of colour, Henriette Delille, founded the Sisters of the Holy Family in New Orleans, Louisiana. She and her co-foundresses, Juliette Gaudin and Josephine Charles, taught the slaves, cared for the sick and the elderly, and shared what they had with the poor.

E6 | Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus: Benin City, Nigeria

The Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus uplift the dignity of womanhood, educate children and youth, reach out to the sick, the aged and all wounded persons, and care for our earth. Within our broken and divided world, they promote love, forgiveness, unity, and hospitality among all people.

E7 | Daughters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Chí Hòa

Founded in 1946 in Bui Chu, Viet Nam, the Daughters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Chí Hòa now also call America home. They strive to live in perfect charity and to embody the mystery of salvation, which brings glory to God, honour to Mary, and the redemption of souls.
