blog_14On Thursday afternoon July 31, Sebstian Gomes, producer at Salt and Light gave this interview to Minnestota Public Radio (MPR). The background for the interview was the situation surrounding Archbishop John Nienstedt, Archbishop of Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Sebastian explained the Vatican's response to and Pope Francis' decisive actions on behalf of victims of clergy sex abuse and how the Vatican is dealing with abusers and those who may have neglected their duties and obligations in reporting abuse, addressing the crisis and care for victims.

On May 18, 2025, Pope Leo XIV inaugurated his pontificate with Holy Mass in St. Peter's Square. In his homily, he said, "I come to you as a brother, who desires to be the servant of your faith and your joy, walking with you on the path of God’s love, for he wants us all to be united in one family."
