Feast of Corpus Christi

Salt + Light Media

Wednesday, June 6, 2012

The Feast of Corpus Christi or The Body and Blood of Christ is celebrated in North America this coming Sunday. However, in Europe and at the Vatican, the feast is still celebrated on the Thursday following Trinity Sunday. In many European nations the day is a public holiday.
In Rome, on the feast of Corpus Christi, Pope Benedict XVI himself celebrates Mass at the Basilica of St. John Lateran and following the Mass, leads a Eucharistic procession to the Basilica of St. Mary Major.
This Thursday Salt + Light brings you live coverage of this unique celebration which is apart of Roman history, and Church history. Join us at 3pm for full coverage of the Corpus Christi Mass and Eucharistic Procession from Rome.
