Jubilee 2025

Pope Francis will make his 36th apostolic journey abroad to Malta on April 2 & 3.

The theme of this visit is They Showed Us Unusual Kindness (Acts 28:2) . The visit will highlight the dangerous journeys displaced people embark upon when crossing the Mediterranean Sea.

The theme is also linked to the generous reception St. Paul received in 60 AD when he was shipwrecked upon the shores of Malta.

The Holy Father's visit will include a visit to the Grotto of St. Paul at the basilica in Rabat and a prayer meeting at the National Shrine of Ta'Pinu.

All this and more can be seen on Salt + Light TV.

Welcome to World Youth Day Central!

Your home for the latest coverage of World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 and Pope Francis' Apostolic Visit to Portugal.

With the encouragement of St. John Paul II, Salt + Light Media was born on the wings of World Youth Day 2002 held in Toronto. Our origins, our name, and the vocations of many on our team were inspired and fuelled by His Holiness' last visit to Canada. The witness to faith and hope at WYD 2002 is our enduring mission.

Since Madrid 2011, the experienced crew at WYD Central has brought the Church's most exciting and impactful event into the homes of Catholics of all ages, first in Canada, expanding into the United States and throughout the world. We now offer hopeful, engaging Catholic content in English, French, and Chinese.
