This week on the SLHour, we bring you the first episode of Indigenous Voices, a series that is the result of the many conversations about healing and reconciliation that arose after the news of possible unmarked graves at former residential school sites in Canada. It is our hope that through meeting our guests and hearing their stories about the people, the land, traditions, legends, languages, and cultures, our hearts will be opened in a way that will lead to true healing and true reconciliation.
In episode 1, we meet Harvey McCue, an accomplished educator, and Cassidy Caron, President of the Métis National Council. We speak about land rights, the impact of residential schools, reconciliation, and much more.
