Pope Francis will make his 36th apostolic journey abroad to Malta on April 2 & 3.

The theme of this visit is They Showed Us Unusual Kindness (Acts 28:2) . The visit will highlight the dangerous journeys displaced people embark upon when crossing the Mediterranean Sea.

The theme is also linked to the generous reception St. Paul received in 60 AD when he was shipwrecked upon the shores of Malta.

The Holy Father's visit will include a visit to the Grotto of St. Paul at the basilica in Rabat and a prayer meeting at the National Shrine of Ta'Pinu.

All this and more can be seen on Salt + Light TV.

From November 27 to December 2, 2025, Pope Leo XIV will make his first apostolic journey abroad to Türkiye and Lebanon.

We will broadcast the main events of his journey on Salt + Light TV and Salt + Light Plus.

In Türkiye (formerly known as Turkey), he will meet with religious leaders, local churches, and civil authorities. He will journey with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I to Iznik for an ecumenical prayer service commemorating the 1,700th 1,700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea.

The motto for the Apostolic Journey to Türkiye is  “One Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Ephesians 4:5), reflecting the unity that all Christians can find in the Triune God as expressed in the Nicene Creed.

In Lebanon, he will meet with civil leaders as well as bishops, clergy, and religious communities in multiple cities. He will pray at the tomb of St. Charbel Makhlouf, visit a local hospital, and hold a special meeting with young people. He will conclude his journey by praying at the site of the Port of Beirut explosion, and preside over Holy Mass at the nearby Beirut Waterfront, before returning to Rome.

The motto for the Apostolic Journey to Lebanon is Heureux des Artisans de Paix, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” expressing the Holy Father's hope for peace in the Middle East region.
