From June 6 to 12, Pope Leo XIV will make his fourth apostolic journey abroad. He is visiting Spain, making stops in Madrid, the country's capital, Barcelona, the capital of the Catalonia region, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of the Canary Islands, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a port city in the Canary Islands.
Pope Francis will make his 36th apostolic journey abroad to Malta on April 2 & 3.
The theme of this visit is They Showed Us Unusual Kindness (Acts 28:2) . The visit will highlight the dangerous journeys displaced people embark upon when crossing the Mediterranean Sea.
The theme is also linked to the generous reception St. Paul received in 60 AD when he was shipwrecked upon the shores of Malta.
The Holy Father's visit will include a visit to the Grotto of St. Paul at the basilica in Rabat and a prayer meeting at the National Shrine of Ta'Pinu.
All this and more can be seen on Salt + Light TV.

During his Madrid visit, Pope Leo XIV will hold a prayer vigil with young people in the Plaza de Lima. He will also celebrate Mass in the Plaza de Cibeles and lead the Corpus Christi procession through a route adorned with traditional floral carpets.
In Barcelona, he will recite the Rosary at the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat. He will also celebrate Mass at the historic Sagrada Familia, famously designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. The basilica is substantially completed, and Pope Leo XIV will bless the central tower after Mass.
Lastly, the pontiff will meet with bishops, priests, deacons, religious, seminarians, and pastoral workers in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and celebrate Mass at the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The motto for this apostolic journey is “Lift up your eyes” (John 4:35). It invites us to look past trivial concerns and rediscover God's presence while making ourselves available to others.
We will broadcast the main events of his journey on Salt + Light TV and Salt + Light Plus.
