Pope Francis will make his 36th apostolic journey abroad to Malta on April 2 & 3.
The theme of this visit is They Showed Us Unusual Kindness (Acts 28:2) . The visit will highlight the dangerous journeys displaced people embark upon when crossing the Mediterranean Sea.
The theme is also linked to the generous reception St. Paul received in 60 AD when he was shipwrecked upon the shores of Malta.
The Holy Father's visit will include a visit to the Grotto of St. Paul at the basilica in Rabat and a prayer meeting at the National Shrine of Ta'Pinu.

From April 13 to 23, Pope Leo XIV will make his third apostolic journey abroad. He will visit four countries in northern, central, and southern Africa: Algeria, Cameroon, Angola, and Equatorial Guinea.
We will broadcast the main events of his journey on Salt + Light TV and Salt + Light Plus.
He will preside over Mass and meet with civil and religious leaders in all four countries. He will visit an orphanage in Yaoundé, Cameroon, nursing homes in Annaba, Algeria and Saurimo, Angola, and hospitals in Douala, Cameroon and Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
When in Annaba, Algeria, he will travel to the archeological site marking the See of St. Augustine of Hippo. In Mongomo, Equatorial Guinea, he will visit the Pope Francis Technology School.
