In 1912, St. Peter's Seminary opened its doors in London, Ont. One hundred years and 1,036 priests later, the seminary community celebrated its centennial anniversary with a Mass of Thanksgiving inside St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica on Wednesday, May 23. As the lead Producer for this project, I had the great privilege of representing Salt + Light in London last week at their diocesan celebrations. It began on Tuesday for our team when Cardinal Thomas Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, celebrated Eucharist inside the St. Thomas Aquinas chapel, in St. Peter's Seminary. Personally, it was quite special being inside the chapel. Our prized-documentary, Panes of Glory, was filmed and brought to life in that beautiful, sacred space. It was such a privilege for me to be in there and re-live that captivating documentary - this time, in person and not on television. We give thanks to God for the gift of Bishop Fallon and all of the faithful faculty and staff who have gone before us. In fact, his decision to establish St. Peter's Seminary can definitely be considered one of the most defining moments in the history of the Diocese of London.  Without their dedication and support, St. Peter's Seminary would not have grown to become the pillar it has become in Catholic formation today.
