CCCB 2023 Plenary Assembly

From September 25 to 28, bishops from all over Canada will gather for the 2023 Plenary Assembly of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) in King City, Ontario. The Plenary Assembly is held every year and includes discussion on a variety of topics that affect Catholics in Canada. During the meeting, there will also be reports from different committees and an address by the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada.

2023 CCCB Plenary Assembly: September 28 Update

The CCCB Plenary Assembly concludes today with the election of the new executive council and updates on seminaries and vocations. A few bishops also share some initiatives from their dioceses.

2023 CCCB Plenary Assembly: September 27 Update

On the third day of the CCCB Plenary Assembly the bishops held separate English and French language sectors meetings and were addressed by the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, His Excellency Ivan Jurkovič.

2023 CCCB Plenary Assembly: September 26 Update

On the second day of the bishops' Plenary Assembly the bishops spoke about the Indigenous Reconciliation Fund and pastoral accompaniment of Indigenous peoples, the Canadian participation at the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of BIshops and they heard a presentation from the standing committee for Responsible Ministry and the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons.

The Canadian bishops' Plenary Assembly begins and the bishops listen to reports about Development and Peace - Caritas Canada and the Canadian participation at World Youth Day, Lisbon 2023.
