In his weekly General Audience, Pope Francis paused his cycle of catecheses on "The Spirit and the Bride" to reflect on the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. He said that a "key way to counter drug abuse and trafficking is through prevention, which is done by promoting greater justice, educating young people in values that build personal and community life, accompanying those in need, and giving hope for the future."

In his weekly General Audience, Pope Francis continued his catechesis on "The Spirit and the Bride." Reflecting on his comment that he hopes 2024 will be a "a great ‘symphony’ of prayer" in advance of the Jubilee 2025, he said that "the Church already possesses a symphony of prayer, whose composer is the Holy Spirit, and it is the Book of Psalms."

In his weekly General Audience, Pope Francis continued his catechesis on the Holy Spirit. Reflecting on the doctrine of the divine inspiration of Scripture, he said that "The words of the Scripture, under the action of the Spirit, become luminous," and that "The death and resurrection of Christ is the beacon that illuminates all the Bible, and it also illuminates our life."

Pope Francis continued his newest cycle of catecheses on the theme of "The Holy Spirit and the Bride.” Reflecting on the freedom of the Holy Spirit, he said that "The Spirit creates and animates institutions, but He himself cannot be 'institutionalised,' 'objectified.'" Quoting 1 Corinthians 12:11, he continued that "The wind blows 'where it wills,' so the Spirit distributes its gifts 'as it wills.'"
