In the Sunday, August 6th edition of WYD Central for Lisbon 2023, Deacon Pedro and Julian Paparella share their thoughts and reflections on the WYD week. They reflect on the Pope’s messages, the pilgrims activities, their personal experiences, especially the unexpected WYD moments, and we hear from the Archbishop of the next WYD host diocese.

In the Saturday, August 5th edition of WYD Central for Lisbon 2023, Deacon Pedro reviews the Stations of the Cross from the previous evening and the Pope’s Rosary prayer with the sick in Fatima. We also walk along with pilgrims as they make their way towards the site of the Vigil and Closing Mass and reflect on the idea of pilgrimage.

In the Friday, August 4th edition of WYD Central for Lisbon 2023, Deacon Pedro visits the City of Joy, which hosts the Vocations Fair and Reconciliation Park. We also review the highlights from the Papal Welcome Ceremony of the previous evening, and visit some of the Churches where pilgrims are venerating the relics of WYD Patron saints.

In the Thursday, August 3rd edition of WYD Central for Lisbon 2023, Deacon Pedro reviews the Pope’s activities of August 2nd, the Gathering for Canadian pilgrims, as well as Youth Festival events, and we hear from many pilgrims who are excited to be at WYD and to be together with Pope Francis as they prepare for the Papal Welcome Ceremony.
