Argentine Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio confirms young woman at church in Archdiocese of Buenos Aires in 2012
For forty-four young people, Sunday will be one of the most (if not the most) important days of their lives.  Pope Francis will confer the Sacrament of Confirmation on each of them at a Mass in St. Peter's Square. (The above photo from 2012 shows then-Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio leading a confirmation service in a poor area of Buenos Aires.)
An estimated 70,000 youth will be among the faithful taking part in the outdoor Mass, which S+L will air at 10:00 am ET/7:00 am PT on our network and live stream. Viewers can follow the liturgy using the Vatican's online booklet for the celebration.
