The book chronicles the highlights of his 17 voyages, and a look at the people who came to visit him at the Vatican. As Msgr. Gänswein says in his introduction to the book, in Mark's Gospel Jesus tells the apostles to go to every corner of the earth to preach the Gospel, and so the successor of Peter has to do the same in order to bring "the words of eternal life" to the ends of the earth. The photos are beautiful shots of Pope Benedict in different places, including a great photo of him walking hand-in-hand with a select group of young people at World Youth Day in Cologne, Germany. There's even a picture of the Holy Father meeting Governor General Michaëlle Jean and her daughter Marie-Eden.
