The saints of our Church have always been wonderful examples of God's love for us. They have lived their lives as best they could to be an instrument to express God's love to all those around them.
This Sunday, the Church will proclaim four more holy men and women as saints:
George Preca, 1880-1962, a Maltese priest and the founder of the Society of Christian Doctrine M.U.S.E.U.M.. Blessed George Preca will be the first Maltese to be canonized!
Szymon (Simon) of Lipnica, 1439-1482. This 15th century priest was with the Order of Friars Minor.
Charles of St. Andrew, 1821-1893, was a Dutch priest with the Congregation of the Passion.
Marie-Eugenie de Jesus, 1817-1898, is the French founder of the Institute of Sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin.
You can tune into Salt + Light Television, on
Sunday morning at 3:30am ET to watch Pope Benedict XVI preside over the Trinity Sunday Mass and canonize these four new saints. An encore presentation will be broadcast at

Let us rejoice as we on earth have more holy and loving examples to follow and look to, and intercede on our behave, so that someday, we too may join them in heaven!
