Since its foundation in Canada on June 17, 1920, the Catholic Women’s League of Canada remains the largest national organization of women in the nation, with close to 100,000 members today.
These women pray together, do charitable works, march in defense of life, and fight for issues of concern for all Canadians. Above all, they hold each other’s hand in the journey of life and faith. As one of them put it, “We laugh because laughter is indeed God’s gift. We cry because we feel another’s pain. We use our talents because we must. We make a difference because we can.”
Celebrate the anniversary of their foundation with Salt + Light. Be inspired by these women who proudly raise the Canadian flag, and continue to enrich each other’s lives through a faith lived out in loving relationships.
