Papal Transition 2013: Feature interview with Greg Burke

Salt + Light Media

Monday, March 11, 2013

More than 6,000 journalists and news agencies have applied for temporary accreditation to the Holy See Press Office for the conclave.  All of them are plugged into the headquarters of the Catholic Church, trying to get a better understanding of what is going on inside the walls of Vatican city.  One of the people closest to the engine room is an "outsider" himself -- Greg Burke -- an American from St. Louis, Missouri, and formerly a FOX News correspondent who was hired in June 2012 as a Senior Communications Advisor to the Vatican Secretariat of State.
In a feature interview coming soon to Salt + Light, Burke discusses his unprecedented role in the highest diplomatic office of the Catholic Church, the Vatican's relations with the media, and the challenges during an historic conclave.
