Focusing on the Fruits of the Holy Spirit

Matthew Harrison

Friday, July 6, 2007

Salt + Light will be going on the road this weekend -- or at least up the road to St. Michael's College School in Toronto -- to attend 'Amazing Fruit,' the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Canadian National Conference.
The conference begins Friday, July 6th at 6pm, and continues to Sunday, July 8th. There is an additional special day for clergy and seminarians on Monday, July 9th.
If you are in the Toronto area this weekend, you may want to attend this event, which takes its theme from St. Paul's letter to the Galatians:
...the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. There is no law again such things. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. Galatians 22-25
The three day conference is filled with talks, workshops, and music. The featured speaker is the Preacher to the Papal Household, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, O.F.M. Cap. Mass will also be celebrated by His Grace, Archbishop Thomas Collins, the Archbishop of Toronto.
