About the creators:
Orianne Pietra René is a religious sister with the Daughters of St. Paul. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and raised in the Ottawa Valley, she converted to the Catholic faith at the age of twelve. Despite being allergic to fish, she loves the sea! One of her favourite ocean memories is of stumbling upon wild sea lions teaching their baby pups how to swim off the coast of Peru. A former teacher and youth leader, Sr. Orianne is passionate about helping youth discover the same Jesus who changed her life. Sr. Orianne currently works in social media ministry. Dive Deep is her first published book.Romi Caron is a professional illustrator who has created art for over 90 published books. She enjoys sharing her love for art by giving special art courses to students in schools in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. She was born in communist Czechoslovakia, where God "did not exist," and simply wearing a cross could mean losing the chance to study or a job. Romi had to "dive very deep," and in very dangerous waters, to discover the existence of God and her faith. Her discovery gave her the courage to cross the ocean and establish herself in Quebec, where she lives with her husband and three sons. The beautiful nature of the Gatineau region brings her daily inspiration.
