As we prepare for the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 15th, we invite you to join us for a special novena led by our CEO, Fr. Haig Chahinian, beginning Wednesday, August 6 and continuing daily until Thursday, August 14.
Each day’s novena prayer will be shared on our social media platforms at 5:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM PT
on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
A novena for the strengthening of families
The theme for this novena is the strengthening of families. In a time when families face many pressures and uncertainties, we turn to Mary—intercessor for all families—to guide, protect, and inspire us with the example of her own holy family. Every day, Fr. Haig will offer a short prayer and reflection as we lift up the needs of our homes, our loved ones, and our Church.
Send us your prayer intentions
We warmly invite you to send us your personal prayer intentions. These will be offered up each day during the novena by Fr. Haig, the Salt + Light Media team, and our growing community of faithful who are praying together across the country and beyond.
Click here to submit your prayer intention.
All intentions will be held in confidence and prayed for privately. If you wish, you may also choose to share your intention publicly through our social media channels.
A time of grace and unity
Novenas are a beautiful tradition in the Church—nine days of devotion that help us deepen our trust in God and draw closer to one another through prayer.
We hope you’ll join us in this novena of preparation. Whether you're praying on your own, with your spouse, your children, or your parish group, know that you are not alone.
Together, let us ask Mary, assumed into heaven, to intercede for us and strengthen the domestic churches of our time.
