Catholic Focus: Co-Creators with God

Matthew Harrison

In Humanae Vitae, Pope Paul VI describes marital love as free, total, faithful, and fruitful. I could spend hours typing about each of those four characteristics, but instead on tonight's episode of Catholic Focus, I would like to take the opportunity to concentrate on the 'fruitful' aspect; specifically natural family planning, fertility awareness and contraception.
In this episode I speak with Fr. Francis Ching, C.C., a Toronto area priest who's passionate about spreading the Good News of sex and marriage. Fr. Ching gives us the details on what the Church says about contraception, and why she says it. We also hear from Dr. Julia Cautadella of the Marguerite Bourgeoys Family Centre who gives us a medical perspective on contracpetion and on fertility awareness. Finally, Jim and Laura Ostoya, pictured above, join me in studio to speak about their experience with natural family planning.
If you're unclear about why the Church disapproves of contraception, if you think the Church wants every couple to have dozens upon dozens of children, if you believe that natural family planning is ineffective or too complicated to learn, I invite you to tune in Wednesday and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
Catholic Focus: Co-Creators with God airs Wednesday, March 5th at 7pm and 11pm ET, with a Sunday, March 9th encore presentation at the same times.
